Volvo cars also eliminate 95% to 99% of its carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxides and hydrocarbon emissions. In 1991 our Torslanda paintshop was declared the world's cleanest. In 1974 Volvo created the landmark oxidizing catalytic converter, the forerunner of today's units.
